Are you using lots of cooking oil in a turkey fryer or other deep fat fryer this holiday season? Recycle your used cooking oil at your local recycling center, instead of sending it down the drain where it can clog sewer lines or septic systems. Used cooking oil can be turned into biodiesel or other useful products!
Place cooled used oil in a sealed container, like the one it came in—you can then recycle your used cooking oil at a number of recycling centers.
In the Solano County area, select your city on the Solano County Recycle Guide at www.recycle-guide.com for times and locations for recycling cooking oils. Some listed recyclers accept kitchen grease as well.
