Getting ready for spring cleaning? Fairfield-Suisun Sewer District and Delta Diablo Sanitation District remind you that household cleaning products often end up down the drain. Use small quantities of safe, gentle cleaners more frequently to eliminate the need for harsh household chemicals. Maintain your pipes and drains and reduce the use of your garbage disposal. Before using chemical drain cleaners, try plungers, snakes, or other physical solutions. Your choices can help reduce chemicals in wastewater before it even leaves your house! Don’t use antibacterial soaps and lotions which kill the microbes we use to treat wastewater.
