SEWER SYSTEM MANAGEMENT

WHAT WE DO

SEWER SYSTEM MANAGEMENT PLAN

In 2008 the Fairfield-Suisun Sewer District completed a Sewer System Management Plan (SSMP) pursuant to State Water Resources Control Board Order No. 2006-0003-DWQ, Statewide General Discharge Requirements for Sanitary Sewer Systems. The intent of the SSMP is to minimize the frequency and severity of sanitary sewer overflows. The SSMP covers the management, planning, design, and operation and maintenance of the District’s sanitary sewer system.

The SSMP will be updated on a regular basis as situations change. The goals and objectives of the plan will be implemented on a continuous and ongoing basis as part of the operations and maintenance of the sewer system. The SSMP is available for review at the District Office, 1010 Chadbourne Road, during normal business hours. Interested parties can contact Meg Herston at (707) 429-8930 or mherston@fairfieldsuisunsewer.ca.gov for additional information.

Sanitary Sewer System Performance

The District reports Sewer System Overflows (SSO) electronically to the California Integrated Water Quality System.

The electronic SSO data are available by agency or region.
